Lisa Forster B.A.Med.Arts, A.D.P.A

 

Lisa Forster is an AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) trained Speech and Drama teacher and examiner in South Australia. Her working life has been spent encouraging young people and adults to take part in creative pursuits through her own company Little Big Parrots, as well as Speech and Drama Studios SA, True North Youth Theatre Ensemble, and many others. She now works as an independent instructor running workshops on all aspects of Speech and Drama including vocal care, improvisation, and professional communication. 

She believes in fostering a caring, inclusive, and safe environment for students to learn and explore as performers and public speakers. Encouraging her students to grow and learn to take risks is the highlight of her work. 

Lisa has spent her life exploring the arts in all aspects, including performance, painting, music, film, and dance. She is an accomplished pianist, visual artist, and teacher of performing arts. In 2012, she graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Media Arts, majoring in Film and Television Production and sub majoring in Performance, and in 2016 completed her Associate Diploma in Drama and Performance (Teacher) through the AMEB. It was her honour to adjudicate the Speech and Drama component of the Balaklava Eisteddfod in 2023. Lisa’s hobbies include baking, reading, and hiking.
