Roshanne Wijeyeratne
Roshanne De Silva Wijeyeratne is an internationally-awarded Flamenco dancer who lives between Spain and Australia, performing, teaching and offering workshops throughout the world. Here is Adelaide, she is Director of Alma Flamenca Dance School and two-time award-winning dance company Compañía Alma Flamenca based in Daw Park. As a soloist, Roshanne won the Best Dance Overall Award soloing for Sydney Flamenco company “Flamenkisimo” at the Adelaide and Darwing Fringe Festivals 2022 and this year received a judge’s pick at the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2024. In her formative years, Roshanne won the Beca de Oro (Gold Scholarship) from Madrid’s prestigious Flamenco academy, ‘Amor de Dios’. She is regularly invited to perform in Festivals and tablaos around the world including Seville, Madrid, London, Berlin, New York City, Sydney, Auckland, and Wellington. Her passionate performances have been received with standing ovations and much acclaim.
